McLane 4G-7S Edger Sidewalk 4 HP Honda GX Engine Steel Wheels

McLane edger/trimmers cut vertically or horizontally, and do it smoothly thanks to wide rubber tires with ball bearing, steel wheels. Best of all, McLane edgers are designed to ride on most curbs while still delivering a clean cut every time. The blade can be quickly and easily tilted to almost any angle, and will trim flat at any height. The front wheels move to convert from edger to trimmer in seconds. All McLane edger/trimmers meet all established safety standards.

  • McLane edger/trimmers use single lever blade clutch and depth control.

  • The cutter head is precision machined and uses sealed precision ball bearings on a 2"x9" spring steel blade.

  • Each edger/Trimmer uses an all steel heavy duty chassis along with a tubular steel handle, and is finished with a powder coated-baked polyester paint that resists chipping and corrosion.

Some assembly required. To ensure safe transport, the edgers are shipped with the wheels detached.

McLean edger/ Honda engine

Engine appears to not reach sufficient rpm to stay running when the edger hits a hard spot in the soil. Blade depth is less than one inch. Unit hits a hard patch and stalls out. Not pleased with my purchase.

Fast shipping. No damage to box or parts. Easy assembly. Added oil and gas and honda engine started on first pull. Great edger, saves my back from mucj fatigue. Would buy again.

As expected: Order, Delivery & Usage

Ordering was easy; product shipped quickly; arrived timely. Assembly is minimal. Once everything was inspected, I added oil and gasoline (premium). The McLane is a tank, heavy metal frame and powder coated red paint. Honda engines are superb. Unit started right up and idles smoothly. You can adjust both the depth and angle of the blade; speed is controlled by the Honda engine. On new cuts, I ran at a low speed, often clipping large roots or the side brackets to my paver driveway. Afterwards, you can increase the speed of the blade and your walking pace. The end product looks great! Being able to adjust the front wheels does help when switching from driveway or road edge to the lawn’s mulch areas with many curves. Love the machine and the excellent shopping experience from Arlington Power.

Awesome Edger!!

Purchased the McLane edger with the Honda GX Engine. Edger is heavy duty and built to last many years. Can’t say enough about the Honda GX engines. I own 3 of them and they start on the first pull every time. You won’t be disappointed with this edger. I highly recommend it.
