The weed trimmer arrived in a broken box; no extra precautions taken when shipping. The trimmer is also not as described in the owners manual. The manual says 4860 -9200 RPM. I measured using a digital laser photo tachometer and got 5690 on the high setting with no load. After some digging, a third party site references 5,700 RPMs on high output. For reference ECHO's SRM-2620
puts out 10,300RPM (25.4cc engine). This machine is no where close to gas, but all ECHO's marketing material would have you believe it's much closer. All that said, it's just OK. Not built for really tough jobs.
